I have been in this industry a very,very long time(25 yrs). I still can’t get a straight answer. The question is when are brake shoes on a drum/shoe setup out of service? Is it when the outside edge wears to the 1/4 inch wear mark? Or is it out old service when the center of the brake shoe hits the 1/4 inch wear mark? Which is it? Everyone gives me a different answer even LEO officers!!!!
