Smaller Companies that hire with no experience.

Greetings,

Thank you so much to everyone that contributes to the forum, have learned so much.

Everyone says its better to sign on with smaller companies as will be paid better and treated more humanely.
Any idea of companies that hire recent CDL graduates?

Also, the initial 4-6 weeks training, are smaller companies able to offer the same quality training as the larger ones?

Thank you

Gulf Relay

Be leery about this company. They reached out to me numerous times before I could call them back. RUDE! Recruiting, Safety, & Customer Service were all rude to me through words spoken or simply hanging up on me. Remember when they reach out to you. The pay is laughable also. When a company that is new reaches out to an experienced driver that has more years in the industry than they do, the way to conduct ones self should be appropriate. This is solely my experience and sharing with you….

Worst truck stop you have been to

There are two that come to mind…

Drums, PA Pilot, wow this place is a real [crappy place]. Oh, and of course how can I forget the Birmingham, AL Pilot. This has to be the worst. Then I stopped their again on my way back north to WI. Guess what, approached by another buy trying to sell a laptop, “Hey…

I haul coal for a living, I was in a 06 Pete 387 day cab which used to be used by keen to pull those little fuel tankers but our owner for some reason bought them because he thinks if the truck is lighter you’ll get more tonnage which is BS. Usually in a W900 daycab which I get just as much if not more tonnage than that Pete but…

Air leak

Is it normal for trucks to leak air sometimes other than when applying the break? I have a 2022 Perterbilt 579 and when I’m driving, the air pressure drop a little bit, like it be at 127psi, then dropped to about 113-114psi in about 3-5 minutes then the air compressor kicks in and bring it back up thus this routine continues. Is it the trailer’s tires that’s doing that? I did go to a Love’s and they found one of the auto-inflator hose wasn’t tight enough on the trailer and they were going…

Post Your Oilfield Trucking Pictures

So we seem to have a bunch of other picture threads – let’s start another one.

I got my second truck imported and released March 3rd so I took her for a nice bath.

She’s not my Tri drive Kenworth but this bugger is where I make the big dollars.
